Christmas Lunch - December 11th, 2010

The RFI held its annual end of year social for its members on the 11th December 2010. This year our Christmas Lunch was held in the Stillorgan Park Hotel and despite the terrible weather we had been having 36 members out of the 45 booked in arrived in great form!! So, well done all of you and thank you for attending.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch followed by mince pies and fruit punch. Our Chairperson Patricia Sheehan gave a toast over coffee to all the members and wished us all a Happy Christmas and a Reiki filled New Year.

Our guest speaker this year was the wonderful Lily Cooper from Colour Me Beautiful; she travelled from Portarlington to give her talk and had us all in fits of laughter for the afternoon. She managed to entertain both the men and women in the group. She gave demonstrations of which colours suit the different skin types and tones. Her talk was both entertaining and informative.

We finished off the day with a Reiki share and everyone left shortly after 5 pm. It was a wonderful day filled with fun and laughter. There were many familiar faces and some new as well, and despite the doom and gloom of the world outside, our day was filled with love and light.
