Reiki Federation Ireland Christmas Lunch 2011

On Saturday 3rd December we held our Annual RFI Christmas Lunch for members in The Stillorgan Park Hotel. This year we were blessed with great weather, not a snowflake in sight!!

The 32 attendees had a wonderful hot buffet lunch, followed by mince pies and chocolates. There were people from all over the country attending; some new faces and lots of regulars! For some people it was their first RFI event, and they were openly welcomed.

Patricia Sheehan, our Chairperson, gave a toast with the wonderful fruit punch and congratulated all the members on the progress we have made in 2011 and for all the great achievements that lie ahead of us in 2012.

Patricia then introduced our speaker for the afternoon, the wonderful Maureen Levy, and her presentation "Comedy Improv". None of us were quite sure what to expect, but it was one of the most entertaining afternoons I have ever been at. I haven't laughed so much in years! Maureen gave everyone the option of participating or not, but everyone took part. We were up on our feet and moving around and playing "comedy games". It was totally interactive and I think we all learned a lot about ourselves, and took quite a bit away with us that evening. It was a very thought provoking exercise.

We finished off a wonderful, fun and laughter filled day with a Reiki share, and left feeling rejuvenated and looking forward to meeting up again next year.

A huge big Thank You to everyone who came along, and made the day such a success.
